NSA Spying Should Alarm Us All

Last updated on September 18, 2024

Unfortunately, the accusations of NSA spying on Tucker Carlson have become political. The legendary Jim Bovard gives the chapter and verse of the latest scandal. The government having access to these databases means that it is a question of when they will be abused not if. It is just too tempting to run a search when the data is sitting there. Even if that search violates someone’s Fourth Amendment rights and is, therefore, a crime.

We should all be alarmed by government agents spying on the media if they agree with our political views or not. The tactics will inevitably be used against people we agree with and those people will probably not be powerful members of the media.
